The two days I spent at “The Movement” affected me profoundly. I had very little idea about what to expect, but I knew that I loved that part of California, and I had a positive memory of many hours spent riding horses as a kid, so the idea of being around them for a couple of days was inviting.
Mostly, I just really wanted to see this amazing guy, Monty Roberts, do that Join-Up thing and I wanted to hear his stories and philosophy. I figured it would be relaxing and entertaining. It was those things, for sure, but it was so much more. I was motivated, educated, moved, inspired… and completely entranced by the beauty and grace of the farm.
I was humbled by the number of fascinating people there who are accomplishing meaningful things and, needless to say, I was and am completely in awe of Monty and Pat Roberts. Monty’s message – his vision – is simple, pure, and right. Count me as one who will be back, and who will bring others. Who knows – maybe I’ll even adopt a horse! This Movement is one I can get behind.

It was a pleasure to be part of that wonderful event, The Movement. My favorite is Monty’s work, again and again. But it was inspiring to listen to Dr. Miller, whose book I ordered immediately and Kris Robins who was a pleasure to listen to. She found words for horses that look past the injury and see the person not the injury. And Eduardo Moreira is a fantastic story teller, it was fun to listen to him and he is also a brilliant example of resilience. I look forward to be there again!

It was an absolute pleasure for me to be at Flag Is Up Farms for The Movement!!
I’ve always loved horses and it wasn’t til I came back to live in USA that I could start knowing them and being blessed to be around them. I work in Equine Assisted activities with disabled kids and adults. I definitely really appreciate the symposium that you put together and hope to be able to come back for more training. The best part of The Movement was the path of Trust, Acceptance and Divine Silence (Body Language).
